We have loved these friendly egg machines for the past couple of years.
They are gentle birds.
We need a constant supply of eggs for guests staying in our accommodation and these girls are not all, laying an egg every day.
Some days 8 and some days 4.
We would like them to go to another happy home.
Price: $5

Newlands Park and Grenada North Park – should they be upgraded? Or are there better ways to spend the Council’s budget? Deputy Mayor Jill Day and Councillors Peter Gilberd and Malcolm Sparrow all support the upgrade proposals in the draft 2018-28 Long-Term Plan. For more info click here.

Saturday's weather forecast is looking good so we expect a good turnout of other stalls plus our Lions used book stall will be out for your perusal.
This week we have Honey and egg news.
We are expecting to have some Waireka Rewarewa honey in 500g jars for $16.00. This honey is more expensive than the Helens Honey we normally have on sale and we are looking to broaden our Honey product offerings. There will be free taste-testing available on the Rewarewa honey.
This week is likely to be the last week we have Standard barn eggs available. The reason is most producers are moving to free-range eggs only, so supply-and-demand is driving up barn egg prices and increased supply is keeping free-range egg prices static. We will continue with Standard barn eggs but only as long as they are substantially cheaper than free-range. We will confirm Standard barn eggs availability each week.
Tawa Lions gratefully acknowledges the support of Outlet City in providing the venue for our Market.

One small section of Alex Moore Park was, anecdotally, used as a landfill site by the US military during their occupation of the park during WW2. We are confident that any rubbish dumping and landfilling would have been confined to Alex Moore Park and would not have extended to private land adjacent to the park. Our initial findings are that the dumped material appears to be of a domestic type rather than industrial origin. It's covered by at least 2 metres of fill and soil and it does not present any discernible risk to park users or neighbours. You can read the full report over on our website. Council officers also have a proposal for Councillors to consider tomorrow morning at the City Strategy Committee Meeting that will look at options going forward for the sports hub at the park.
