Come along and have a laugh, share some stories and meet the author herself, Emily Writes. Emily will share a reading from her new book, some stories and answer all of those burning questions, and there might even be a special guest or two!
When and where?
This event will be held at 10:30 am at the Wellington Central Library on Wednesday August 22nd.
Our Baby Rock & Rhyme session with finger dancing and stories runs from 9:30-10:00am in the children’s area, so come along for some fun for the little ones first, then head over to the Young Adults area on the ground floor nearby for some fun for yourself.
You can borrow a copy from us or Unity Books will be available during the event to sell copies of Is it Bed Time Yet? and you may even be able to get your copy signed!

Metlink has been listening and we will be reinstating the off-peak Route 18 service between Miramar, Wellington Hospital, Massey University, Victoria University of Wellington and Karori. We will be working with the operator to put this into effect later this year.

Do you think primary teachers and principals should be striking? Thousands of teachers have taken industrial action on Wednesday, with dozens of rallies planned around the country. They aim to gain attention for better pay, conditions and incentives to attract new teachers. Although about 30,000 people in the profession are involved in the strike, not everyone agrees with it.
So, what are your thoughts on the strike? Do you think teachers deserve better pay? Or should they have stayed around the negotiating table for longer? Are you a teacher or parent with views on the topic? Let us know in the replies!

Today I realised Snapper has deactivated my current 30 day pass and also my new $150 pass not yet in use. It took my $30 cash and denied me a fare this morning. Rang them again at … View moreToday I realised Snapper has deactivated my current 30 day pass and also my new $150 pass not yet in use. It took my $30 cash and denied me a fare this morning. I called snapper at 8.3am to be told they dont know what is wrong but someone will call me back today. No call back. Rang them again at 4pm and they have no idea. So angry. They have basically robbed me of $250 and now I have to pay to get to work when I should have five weeks of travel up my sleeve. Someone needs to be made culpable and sort this mess out. 😡
