Diabetes Wellington - Education Class for Type 2 Diabetes
Venue: Salvation Army Upper Hutt, 695 Fergusson Drive, Upper Hutt.

This one hour talk on self-management is suitable for people who have had Type 2 diabetes for some time and would like a refresher and to be updated on the latest information on how to manage their condition. It is also suitable for people who are newly diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes. It will cover topics such as; Latest research and medication available to treat Type 2 diabetes. The latest research and advice on exercise and testing. The difference between Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. This will be done in a friendly supportive environment with a nurse educator from the Hutt Valley DHB. Cost: $5 for members and $10 for non members. All welcome!
