Wellington Samaritans helpline urgently needs more volunteers to meet the demand from callers. If you can listen with empathy and without judging, please consider volunteering with us.
You will gain the satisfaction of knowing you're helping people at their time of need, learn valuable new skills, make new friendships and be part of an inspirational group of people. Full training is provided.

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
