Meals on Wheels Delivery Drivers needed for Brooklyn run
Meals on Wheels is a valuable community service made possible thanks to a team of volunteers who deliver food during weekdays to seniors and the housebound throughout wider Brooklyn. Delivery drivers pick up the meals from the Brooklyn Community Centre in Harrison Street from approximately 11:15am - 11:30am and then go out on their run which takes around an hour and a half. If you are able to help either weekly, fortnightly or monthly to deliver meals or would like to know more, please contact Sue the Brooklyn volunteer Meals on Wheels coordinator on 021 620 599 or email: sue@mcglashan.co.nz

FREE 10-liter emergency water bottles
Merry Christmas -
I have around twenty, empty 10-liter distilled water bottles to serve as emergency water storage. I saved them for my friends, but they already have their own water supplies. Take as many as you like. Please respond to this notice if you are interested.
Best wishes - Michael
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
