Greetings -

For the last 8 years, I have organized a social group called "Friday Drink". It now has over 4,100 members and meets at different bars on Fridays. Its goal is to provide copacetic venues to make new friends and hang out with old ones of both sexes. It is not a dating meetup. Most of our members are over 30.

This Friday, we will have our 8th Annual Halloween Party at the Cavern Club on Allen Street off Courtney Place. A great band will play the hottest dance tunes from the 80's and 90's. There will be no cover charge. We will have the cheapest drink specials in Wellington. A $100 bar tab will be awarded to the best costume, although costumes are optional.

If you want more information, please go to www.meetup.com.... You can join our group there if you like (for free) and receive notices of our future events. If you do join and are coming, I'd appreciate your RSVPing. Hope to see you there.

Best wishes - Michael

Poll: Yay or nay to tourist fees? 🌏💰

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Kiwis love tourism ... it brings in cash and connection. But with more visitors comes more pressure on our beautiful places, housing, and local infrastructure.

So what’s the fix? Should we bring in a tourism tax or focus on spreading visitors beyond the hotspots to ease the load? 👇
