Shall we put in a greenhouse at the centre? An opportunity has come up to put in a greenhouse at the centre (2.3x3m). For this to go ahead, we need to know that you support. Super duper important is if we have some people that can be long term kaitaiki (guardians) so we know our little seedlings and their whare are cared for. Could this be you? Help building it will also be needed. There is also the opportunity to use this space to raise your own seedlings as will be some extra room. He aha ō whakaaro? What are your thoughts? Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
