11/05/2023: WCC landfill works and possible odour issues next week
Possible odour issue from landfill: we have been notified of the following planned work next week by WCC contractors at the landfill relating to ongoing maintenance work. Wells will be drilled into waste to determine leachate levels, pumps will be installed in wells to remove leachate and wells then backfilled and reported into existing landfill gas extraction system.

WCC management will monitor continuously, Odour suppressor will be running while drilling occurs, wells will be capped of daily with steel plates and clay impermeable material.
