Mosque Shame

Eva from Southgate

I am probably like many other people in New Zealand who are in tears watching the news and the horror that has unfolded in our midst, overwhelmed with a feeling of helplessness and a deep wish to go and hug these poor people whose lives have been forever changed. Their feeling of safety in our peaceful land shattered and along with them, our own fear that tomorrow it could be any one of us. Evil lives amongst us.

To all the Muslims in our country who believe in peace and have lived amongst us without incident I can only share your pain and sorrow.

My deepest condolences to all who have lost friends and family not by the hands of men because real men don’t shoot the defenceless, but by the hands of COWARDS with evil hearts and guns.

Our wonderful country will never be the same. May you find strength to cope and feel peace once again. You have the love and support of the decent people that most of us are.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
