Intersection - Baroda St and Box Hill
About a month ago the Wellington City council posted on this website. The title was:
"From today, we will be engaging with the Khandallah community about congestion and safety concerns at the Box Hill, Burma Road, Station Road and Baroda Street intersection"
I found out yesterday that the council has given resource consent for a childcare center on the same intersection. I am dumbfounded that they can be concerned about congestion and safety issues and also issue a consent (without public notification) for this center that will create a lot more traffic at peak times.
The area of Baroda St, opposite the cafe, is one way given the width of the street at the best of times and wondering what it would be like with 20 kids being dropped off.
I would be interested in others views.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
