Incident outside West Park School
From the Principal....
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
This morning there were a further two incidents outside school grounds involving children on their way to school. One took place nearby Johnsonville Kindergarten, and the second on Comber Place. Police were again notified and are dealing with the matter. They will let the school know if there are any further actions we need to take, or if there are details that we need to communicate to, and or seek from the community. Over the next few days there will be a police presence around the school grounds before school, and additional staff on the grounds between 8.30 and 9.00am.
Please note that the children are safe and that the parents have all been made aware. The children demonstrated excellent stranger danger awareness and immediately informed the school.
I will let you know if anything else comes to light that you may need to be made aware of.
Kind regards,
Luis Echegaray
Principal

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
