Wellington North Community Patrol recruitment
The Wellington North Community Patrol is affiliated to the Community Patrols of New Zealand Charitable Trust (CPNZ) www.cpnz.org.nz...... which is a registered charity under the Charities Act 2005. It is an organisation in the area of Community and Public Security and Safety. We work together with our partners such as the Police, Local Territorial Authorities, and many non-government organisations.
The training requirements are set high in order to ensure we meet the needs of legislation, such as the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015, as well as ensuring we meet the high standards required to maintain the integrity and credibility of our commitments to the agencies we work with.
The patrol is out in the community on Friday evenings and some Saturdays, depending on the availability of its members. Members perform a patrol once a month or more if desired. The patrol team is usually driving for up to four hours during each patrol. The area covered includes Ohariu, Churton Park, Glenside, Grenada Village, Woodridge, Paparangi, Johnsonville, Newlands, Broadmeadows and Ngauranga.
The patrol is seeking new members to bolster the small group currently on board.
