Mayor in the chair - Churton Park!
On Tuesday the 10th October at 5.30pm, some of the Councillors and I will be at the Amesbury School Hall in Churton Park to meet with you to discuss what is going on in your local community.
We want to hear from you. You can ask us questions, voice your concerns - you might even meet some new neighbours!
We've created an event for you to RSVP. Hope to see you there!

Street Appeal: Support Mary Potter Hospice!
Help us be there for patients and their whānau when and where they need hospice care.
Please support Mary Potter Hospice's Appeal this May. On Thursday 16 and Saturday 18 May there'll be close to a thousand volunteers wearing Mary Potter Hospice bibs and holding collection buckets across the streets of Wellington, Porirua, and Kāpiti.
Please donate and help keep palliative care free for our local communities. Thank you!
Riddle me this...
Poke your fingers in my eyes and I will open my jaws wide. Linen cloth, quills, or paper, I will devour them all.
Do you think you know the answer to our daily riddle? Don't spoil it for your neighbours! Simply 'Like' this post and we'll post the answer in the comments below at 2pm.
Mouse in the house
After finding an electrical cable that has been chewed by mice I went on the offensive and bought some traps from Envirotools a couple weeks ago. I bought one that mounts into the ceiling and is accessed from below and 2 mice/rat traps.
We have caught one mouse in the kitchen, 9 in the roof and a rat under the house in just 2 weeks. I had heard that if you see a mouse in the house you will have multiple in the roof but I hadn't thought it would be anything like that. The really cool thing about the ceiling one is that when the trap goes off a little red button pops down and lets you know it's sprung so you don't have to keep checking it
With so many different traps available it's nice to find one that works really well
