Wharfedale Valdus 400 speakers

Scott from Johnsonville

A pair of front floor standing 150w Wharfedale Valdus 400s (the large ones pictured).

These are a great sounding set of speakers for both music and home theatre. However one of the speakers makes a rattling noise if there is a loud rumbling explosion in a movie. I have never heard it rattle during music, even loud electronic music, or for anything other than explosions.

I have no hesitation to recommend these speakers for music, but if you watch a lot of action movies or games the rattle might annoy. I'm sure it can be fixed if you do want to use them for home theatre.

In either case you can snap up a bargain here.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
