π¨ IMPORTANT UPDATE β COURT DATE POSTPONED π¨
We requested that the High Court hearing be postponed, due to delays by the respondents.
πΉ They filed their affidavits late, leaving our team without enough time to prepare responses.
πΉ They have refused to share key documents, forcing us to rely on the Official Information Act.
πΉ Just last week, the CAA confirmed critical safety documents β due 16 April β will now only be provided after the original hearing date.
β³ A new hearing date (the next available this year) will be confirmed soon.
We remain determined to ensure our communityβs voice is heard and that our case is presented as strongly as possible.

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? π°π²
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if itβs approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
