bloody idiot driver

Denise from Ebdentown

to the driver of the black 4WD who was tail gatting me at the begining of Akatarawa Rd on Sunday 04th August at around 6.40pm

YOU ALMOST HIT AND KILLED A CHILD WALKING ACROSS THE ZERBRA CROSSING by the brown owl shops.

the reason I had slown down was to allow this child to cross the crossing as per our road code, that doesn't give you the right to speed up and overtake me missing her by about 1 foot and scaring the life out of her.

I'm pretty sure the speed limit on that road is not 70km which you seemed to be going. you are very lucky I didn't get your plate because the police would have been having a chat to you

and thank goodness you didn't hit the child because that is something that you would have had to live with for the rest of your life and by the speed you were travelling at she would have been killed.

we all have moments where we get anrgy behind the wheel but MATE that was not cool!

Poll: Would you participate in local initiatives aimed at stopping plastic from reaching our oceans?

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

Volunteers will be scouring the foreshore, riverbanks, and islands for rubbish on Saturday the 13th as part of the Clean Up the Hutt event.

This initiative helps stop plastic from reaching our oceans and makes our waterways cleaner and safer for everyone.

We want to know: Should this be rolled out across all coastal cities in Aotearoa? And more importantly… would you get involved? 💚

Want the details? The Post has you covered.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
