Be wary of counterfeit notes circulating Palmerston North
Counterfeit banknotes are doing the rounds in Palmerston North and police are asking shop workers to keep an eye out.
Senior Sergeant Phil Ward said police the $50 notes had been used at four or five shops since Christmas. "It's easy to tell they are counterfeit."
Ward said where there should be an embossed design within the window on the notes was instead simply clear plastic.Read more here.
