Can a recent high school graduate match - and beat - a seasoned politician for the people's vote?

Pascal Snifter Lumps

Shirley from Shannon

Has anyone tried the Snifter Lumps yet? I succumbed today and I must say they taste like the Peppermint Chews you used to (or still can?) get. Disappointed but I liked the Peppermint Chews so I enjoyed them.

TIME TO COME CLEAN. That cliff face is just a piece of blue gum firewood. When I had split the wood the texture of the exposed surface attracted my attention so out came the camera and some … View more

Ata mārie kiritata,

The city's urban dwellers are about to meet Manawatū's rural dags for the annual Rural Games in Palmerston North's square.

More than 25,000 people are expected to come to town over two days, with national and international audiences through media, social media and television coverage.

Five per cent of the $1 million event is supported the city council, but the games trust's chairman Margaret Kouvelis wants a greater contribution to the games.

Should council contribute more?
