Havelock North Village Green Playground Temporarily Closing to the Public
In line with the Havelock North Domain Reserve Management Plan, as well as in response to regular requests from the local community, an upgrade of the Havelock North’s Village Green playground will be commencing next week (Monday, 22 August).
During this time, the playground will be temporarily closed to the public. However, the skatepark will remain open throughout.
The upgrade of the playground will include:
- More seating and picnic tables
- 5 new shade sails
- Additional play equipment, generously donated by the Mackersey Family
- New recycled safety rubber playground surface - similar to what is used in Cornwall Park.
Weather permitting, the majority of the upgrade is due to be completed by mid-October.
You can visit our playgrounds page to find alternative places to visit during this time or for more information on this project phone 06 871 5000.
