Postal system

Vincent from Flaxmere

Since Covid we hear how the postal times from overseas is taking a lot longer. We are told that it's due to a lack of available transport.

I now dispute that hypothesis.

Latest example;

I ordered a product from th US. It's a tracked item so I can see when it left, how long in transit and when it arrives in NZ.
Well, it took 4 days from the US to NZ customs. It arrived in NZ customs on the 6th of February. It still hasn't arrived here yet.

To recap, 4 days from US to NZ. 6 days in NZ and still hasn't arrived.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
