Window Cleaner Needed

Carolynne Riley from

We are hoping to get someone to come and clean the outside windows of our office in Hastings next week. We are a charity organisation and have recently had them done but are far from satisfied and need our building to look top notch by next weekend for our first open home, so we are looking for someone reliable and affordable for the job. If interested please phone 876 7210 during our office hours Tues, Wed, Thurs 9:30am - 2pm.

Tell us the story behind your bear

Katie Townshend Reporter from Hawke's Bay News

We're going on a bear hunt! People across the country are popping bears in their windows. But what's the story behind the fuzzy faces? Tell us about your bear - what's their name, where did you get it, how far have they travelled? Post a photo and tell us their story! (Please mark any posts you don't want to see published NFP).

At-Home Fire Safety Checklist

Fire and Emergency from Fire and Emergency New Zealand

With everyone staying home, it’s now more important than ever for everyone to be fire-safe. People can find information on our website - fireandemergency.nz...

We’re heading into winter, and with households self-isolating together, there’ll be more cooking at home, and more use of open fires, heaters, and dryers - all things which can increase fire risk.

New Zealanders can be confident that Fire and Emergency is well-prepared and ready to respond to emergencies as usual during the nationwide self- isolation period.

Please call 111 if you have a fire, we will ask you whether anyone at the address is self-isolating or has a confirmed case of COVID-19. Where this is the case, we already have necessary measures in place to ensure everyone’s safety including protective clothing, gloves, masks, safety glasses and mask.
