Georgina Kingi, principal of St Joseph's Maori Girls' College, began 2017 as a Dame after being named on the New Year Honours list. She has been "Miss Kingi" to generations of students and doesn't think her new title will change this.

24 December at 4.00pm at St Columba's Church. A short gathering, involving children and families in telling the Christmas story. Children (and grown-ups) can dress up as angels, shepherds or animals. ALL ARE WELCOME.
