MetService has issued a strong wind watch for Manawatu.
Valid: 10 hours from 4:00am to 2:00pm Tuesday.
Forecast: East to southeasterly winds may approach severe gale in exposed parts at times.
An update for severe weather will be issued by 10:00am today.
