Walkers For New Homes!!
Age Concern Horowhenua have two walkers available for new homes!
These are surplus to our requirements, so we would like to pass these onto people in our community that would benefit from having one.
If you would benefit from having a walker, or know if someone who needs some support to better get around then please let us know!
Age Concern Horowhenua is a non-profit organisation and a donation for these walkers to go towards our continued work and service to support our older community would be greatly appreciated.
For more information about these walkers, please call Catherine on (06) 367 2181.
Harvey Bowler Festival of Lights
Our Festival of Lights is well under way.
Thanks to Sponsors Electra, Property Brokers Levin, Levin New World, Horowhenua Chronicle and NZME for their support again this year.
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
