Covid level 4
So we are in Level 4 for 4 more days before another update.
Hope you are all doing well. We have been here before and we can do this. If anyone is having a tough time feel free to call me on 0278740654. I am happy to listen and help where I can.
This is a time when we can do those things that we don't have time for normally. It's good that we can go for a walk and the weather report is good for the weekend.
Supermarkets are busy and in my opinion best avoided if possible. If you do go please think of others. Please don't get angry at supermarket staff if the stock does run out it's Not their fault if some people panic shop and take it all. We are told stock won't run out if we all only take what is needed just like in a normal shopping trip
Please keep the 2-metre distance if you do and don't forget to mask up
Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
