… View moreHi neighbours! What better way to celebrate the busy festive season than taking one job off the ‘to-do’ list – the weekly grocery shop! At Countdown we’ve recently dropped the price of our online shopping fees across both delivery and Pick up (formerly Click&Collect).
Pick up is now free if you spend $50 or more, or just $5 for all other orders. Online orders now have a flat-rate fee of $12 for orders up to $199.99, and $8 for orders $200 and over.

This coming week the December meetings will be held at 7pm at the Christchurch Bridge Club in Nova Place, just off Barbadoes St. (best to arrive early - lots of easy parking). There will be a demonstration of Making a Christmas Wreath as well as the usual current gardening advice and garden problems questions answered. Cost for casual is $5, supper included.

I have been leading these tours to central and eastern Europe for nearly 20 years and most of the … View moreThis is a guided bus tour through Czech Republic, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia and by ferry across the Baltic to Helsinki, Finland, with most expenses paid for within a total cost of $9,000. I have been leading these tours to central and eastern Europe for nearly 20 years and most of the tour members are people who have been on previous tours. So there is no advertising, it has all been by word of mouth. The 2018 tour has 30 people enrolled and it happens that two people have just cancelled because of ill-health. The hotels and other attractions are all booked so there is an opportunity here for anyone interested in a tour which takes you off the beaten track, meeting the locals and enjoying folk song and dance festivals on the way. Size 37. I absolutely love them but they just too small for my wide feet and have given up the notion of squeezing my feet till they stretch ! I've had them in my cupboard for over 3 year's now .... it ain't gonna happen 😭😭 They retail for over $200. Brand is Softwaves City.
