mobility beach access
I am 78 and use a walking frame away from home but live close to Sumner beach and cannot do the full walk from Hole in the Rock to Scarborough. I've requested the council add an extra ramp over wall in addition to one by the toilet block, but so far no luck with them. Is anyone else with mobility issues keen to pursue it with council too please? I even went to our MP few years ago for support. Perhaps a group of us can have more clout. Wheelchair users etc...we need to be heard. I am but one voice. Message here if you're keen to support this please. P
Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? π°π²
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if itβs approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?

A riddle to start the festive season π²ππ
I'm a fruit. If you take away my first letter, I'm a crime. If you take away my first two letters, I'm an animal. If you take away my first and last letter, I'm a form of music. What am I?
