Signing in
I cannot understand some businesses thinking, when on entering their premises, to record your presence, they only offer a cell phone scan option. Why do they not offer a hard copy option as others do? Case in point - the diner in Oxford. You are not served until you record your particulars via your cell phone. If it wasn't for my friend yesterday who put my contact details in on his phone, I would not have got a meal. Today I visited Warehouse Stationary in Northwood. Same thing - app download only. The elderly man in front of me, just sanitized his hands and walked in - as I did. Do not these businesses realize that not everyone has a cell phone and even those who do have one, may find downloading the app too difficult. What happens when a group of elderly people go to a restaurant and they have to register via their cell phones - if they have one - and they can't? This is short-shortsightedness, and because I am not cell phone savvy, I, like hundreds of others, won't spend money at those premises. Businesses take note: if you want our money, please provide a hard-copy option.
