Papanui High School Barista Nightclass

Do you love Coffee and want to know more? Papanui High School is offering an Introductory Barista Course as part of their nightschool programme. This course will give you the technical skills required to make the perfect coffee. This is a great skill to have for future employment. You will learn how operate a commercial expresso machine and grinder. Students will learn how to adjust the grind, froth milk, make different types of coffee and cleaning of the coffee machine and grinder. The course is starting on Monday 6 May
7-9 pm for 2 weeks at a cost of $105.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
