Please keep your dog on a leash
To the man and lady who were walking a black miniature dog at Hillsborough Park around 11.30 am today; The signs at both end of the park states: Keep your dog on your leash. Our children were doing their daily school exercise and you couldn't keep your dog under control and it jumped all over the bottom half of our daughter's body who felt her bubble was compromised which upset her. Because you couldn't keep your dog under voice control. Please follow the rules. Our bigger dog was on his leash and would love to run around the park. However we chose to keep him safe and everyone else safe.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
