Mother of All Clean Up event along Ernle Clark Reserve
We are looking forward to this annual event today (Saturday 11th May, 10 am -12 pm) & meeting with many residents!
Thanks to all who have responded to our FB event page with interest.
While there doesn't appear to be much litter as I walked through Ernle Clark Reserve- it is always surprising how much rubbish we end up with!!
We will be meeting by the Barrington St Bridge by Ernle Clark Reserve at 10 am for a briefing & group photo before we start collecting litter.
Hopeful for another great sunny day with awesome volunteers in our community. 🙂
Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲
The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.
We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?
