Things start to get interesting when a couple of protestors reportedly claimed to the media that there was NO epidemic.
They apparently claimed it was a Government plot for social control. Maybe the person was intentionally indulging in some tongue-in-cheek hyperbole. Possibly too, it could be that a serious therapeutic reality check for that protestor and along with some ongoing calming medication would be helpful....

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
