The Census - why it matters - especially to Canterbury District Health Board
Hi all – we’re on a mission! And we need your help.
We want as many Cantabs as possible to complete the Census for two important reasons:
1. It provides valuable information about our community’s health and disability needs to inform our planning of future health services. The more we know, the better our planning.
2. As our funding is population-based, we need as many Cantabrians as possible to complete the Census, so the population figures are as accurate as possible. The more people who fill out the forms, the more money we receive, it’s as simple as that.
Anything you can do to help people complete the Census is time well spent – when you’re out and about this weekend, please ask your neighbours, friends and family/whānau - have you done the Census?
If you know someone that doesn’t have access to a computer, or isn’t very good with on-line forms, it’s ok to help people if they need a hand.
For more information see www.census.govt.nz... – if you or anyone you know hasn’t received a Census Code in the post, call 0800 CENSUS [0800 236 787]
