Kauri or Rimu framing for carving projects.
Hi neighbors - Another wet weekend so I am working on some small carving projects. But I realize I am running low on timber. If anyone has been doing house reno's and has some old Kauir or Rimu framing around - like that shown in the photo, I am keen to pick it up. Shorter lengths are ok as long as they don't have too many nails in them - wrecks havoc with my chisels! 100mm x 75mm or larger dimension is ideal. It's wonderful dry timber to carve and too good to throw on the fire! Many thanks.
