Matariki Week at Highland Park Community House - 17 to 21 June
MATARIKI WEEK IS FAST APPROACHING.....
Highland Park Community House is very pleased to be able to offer the community an interesting Matariki Celebration week from June 17 to 21, free of charge. There is sure to be something interesting for everyone to take part in.
We thank the Auckland Astronomical Society and Astronz NZ for their expertise and assistance with these events including Stardome Observatory and Highland Park Community Creche for the prizes we are offering during the week.

17 & 18 June Free Evening presentations in the Parkview Room
We are offering two sessions on both evenings, 5:00pm and 7:30pm
Please call to book your seats, spaces are limited.
21 June Free Telescope Viewing, weather dependent.
6.30pm until late in the car park at Highland Park Community House.
Matariki Colouring in Competition
3 to 5yrs / 6 to 10yrs / 11 to15 yrs - closes 21 June
Pick up your colouring in copies from Highland Park Community House office or download from our website.
Matariki Raffle - full of goodies, homemade jewelry, art and other goods. $2.00 ticket Drawn on 23 June. Tickets from Highland Park Community House office.

Kōnae has information on more than 60 state and faith-based organisations that have records for over 800 homes and places in Aotearoa New Zealand about people who have been in their guardianship or care.
The Kōnae map shows past and present places in Aotearoa New Zealand like children’s homes, hospitals, orphanages, boarding schools, Youth Justice facilities and many more.
Each place on the map has details about who was responsible for running it and how to get records.
