Colin Maxwell from Zero Waste Hubs

Second-hand style, first-class fun! 👕👖🧣

This May at the Tāmaki Zero Waste Hub (153 Pilkington Rd), we're celebrating Fashion Revolution Month by giving our best second-hand looks a chance to shine—and we need your help!

For just $6, you can pick:
✅ 1 top
✅ 1 bottom
✅ 1 piece of headwear (hat, scarf, etc.)
—then model your new look for our social media!

Not keen to show your face? No worries—we’re happy to anonymize your photo or get creative with how we share your style. The main thing is having fun and showing how second-hand can still turn heads!

Pop in any time during May and join the (fashion) revolution 💚

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
