My daughter needs surgery overseas
Hi
My daughter Mia and I have lived in Stonefields for just over 6 years and we love it here. It's such a friendly community and handy to everything.
Unfortunately my daughter isn't well - she has ehlers danlos syndrome which has caused 4 compressions in her abdomen - meaning she can't eat food, has lost over 8kgs, has stomach & back pain, headaches and vomiting and isn't in school.
Her vascular surgeon has referred us to a team of surgeons in Germany who specialise in vascular compressions (they only affect 0.3% of the population so we don't have anyone doing the surgeries here in NZ).
We have to raise $140,000, so I'd really appreciate if you'd share the link below to Mia's Give a Little Page on your social media pages.
Thanks
Tara x

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
