Auckland Girls Choir Auditions

Joanna from Meadowbank

The Auckland Girls’ Choir is holding auditions over the weekends of 14th, 21st
and 28th of September for girls aged 9 to 18 years of age who love to sing, can sing with stable pitch, and are excited about singing in a choir and becoming an excellent musician.

The Choir sings music in a wide range of styles, and performs in, and around Auckland regularly including a major annual concert project.

If you are selected as a member of The Auckland Girls’ Choir you will be
expected to:

• attend weekly Monday after-school rehearsals that span the

regular school year in Remuera;

• attend a separate 3-hour weekend workshop in each of the four

school terms;

• commit to participate in all performance engagements during the

year.

There is a limited number of need and merit based scholarships available for the 2020 intake. To be considered for a scholarship, a separate scholarship application would need to be submitted immediately after audition.

We have limited spaces available in the Choir so contact us now to get more

information, or to book an audition.

Some Choice News!

Kia pai from Sharing the Good Stuff

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.

Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?

Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
