Peacocks is a purpose-built early learning centre that provides education and care for children aged between 3 months and 5 years old.

What makes us different?

The building:
- Is an environmentally sustainable building, worthy of a Green Star rating
- The indoors is built of recycled concrete. Light is created by ninety solar panels and rainwater is recycled and harvested for toilet use.
- A custom-built floor-to-ceiling aquarium (six metres high) exhibits freshwater fish which creates learning opportunities and ambience for the children. It is the largest tank in Auckland, apart from Kelly Tarltons.

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
