REFUGEE HOUSEHOLD ITEM DONATION

Hello neighbours, how are you all?

As many of you may know the Red Cross New Zealand has a training programme for volunteers to help with the Refugee situation. As part of the program, we volunteer help refugees that leave the Mangere Center and move into new houses. In this occasion, we are trying to get as many of the things listed here for them.

As I'm doing the training and going to the Red Cross office in Manukau once a week, I can pick up the donations in your houses and take them to the Red Cross office. Please, we only take items in good conditions. Here are the details:

Requests and CriteriaItems Red Cross are unableto accept: Baby items (i.e. prams, cots, change tables etc.),Toys and Books Anything broken or damaged, faded, torn, discoloured, stained or dirty. Second hand towels, or second hand pillows.

ITEMS NEEDED for refugee homeware packs:
-Bedrooms: Sheets, Duvet covers, Pillow cases, Warm blankets, New pillows.
Bathroom: New bath towel, New face cloths, New hand towels, New bath mats.
Kitchen: Dinner setsCups/Coffee mugs, Cutlery, Serving Utensils, Kitchen knives, Toasters, Electric, Jugs, ,Kitchen tea towels Cutting boards, Rice cookers, Kitchen storage containers, Serving bowls, Baking items(tins, trays etc.)

I can pick them up in your house (Maria 021 0602428) or items can be delivered to 33 Lambie Drive, Manukau between 9am and 4pm Monday-Friday. Please call Red Cross office to inform them of a delivery (09) 262 0942.
