Sunday Winter Bowls at Kohi
All levels of bowlers are welcome to join in the midwinter 2-4-2s at Kohi. And we'll have you home in time for dinner! Questions and registrations to Sheri: 021 376 564
Register by noon Friday prior.
The popular 2-4-2 format allows pairs teams to play both Lead and Skip. Less down time (move more =stay warmer in winter play!).
In the first end of the game the Leads start off with their first 2 bowls each. Then the Skips play their 4 bowls. Then the Leads complete the end with their final 2 bowls. Thus, the Leads act as Lead and Skip in the same end.
In the next end the roles are reversed- so everyone stays where they are and the previous end's winners deliver the jack.
The Skips playing First with their first 2 bowls, then the Leads play their 4 bowls, and finally the Skips complete the end with their final 2 bowls. This alternating pattern continues throughout the game.
Carol service
All are welcome to come to St Thomas church, 7 pm Friday 19 December, for our Service of Nine Lessons and Carols
