Love singing? Join a choir!

Bronwen Williams from Cantemus Community Choir

Our friendly community choir, Cantemus, is starting up again on Monday February 12. We're an un-auditioned SATB choir with a mixture of trained and untrained voices from all over Auckland, and we sing a variety of choral and sacred music with great enthusiasm. We all love creating beautiful harmonies , and we always enjoy welcoming new members. We practise every Monday night from 7.30-9.30 (including a tea break) at St Luke's Church on Remuera Road in Newmarket. You're very welcome to come along and check us out before committing to join us.

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”

We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?

Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
