ducks all dying at Portland Road Reserve
I have contacted council re the local friendly ducks all mostly dead and more still dying each day at Portland Road Reserve. The water is toxic and council have been testing it to find out what caused it! It is not botulism. Perhaps drainage of some sort into the water? Sadly all the regular friendly ducks that school children often would come and visit are now dead. Every day there are more ducks either dead or dying at the reserve. A very sad time for the locals who love them to watch them slowly die and gasping for breath.

Auckland Harbour Bridge summer works
NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is carrying out essential maintenance on the Auckland Harbour Bridge this December and January. The southbound clip-on lanes will be closed (24/7) from 26 December to 5 January for road resurfacing. Night-time lane restrictions will be in place throughout the summer for recoating work on the bridge. Traffic will still be able to travel in both directions at all times.
