A little bit about me...
HI to you all. I am known to many, but to the recent members either relocating to Te Aroha or having just decided to join this Neighbourly group, a big hello and lovely to have you on board. I am a in Centennial Ave, where we do heaps of fundraising for both local and various needs in other areas,. holding various events at our Villa, the last being the Platinum Jubilee to which over 200 supported, and from distances of over 5 hours driving. Our next is our Christmas Wonderland which commences beginning of December to January 6th. 2025.Our passion is 'Everything interesting" which represents some form of history. So Vintage cars of which we have several, a well stocked man cave; inside our Villa are cabinets of many Te Aroha items, The British Royal family, family history, beer steins, Bossons and so much more. We have small groups who book to enjoy the tour and with their donations we put the amount towards the end of year Christmas donations to give to the chosen charities or families for that year. There is far too much to describe. I am from a small village in Warfield Berkshire England, and my husband is a Kiwi with an English mother, his family history is part of our collection and is shown in a separate cabin. Should you wish to know more do come along and see us, and hopefully we will meet you during the month of December at our Christmas Wonderland. I am also a lead here on the site, so I am happy to answer any question you have and if i can't i will direct you to the person who can. Thank you

Poll: Are Kiwis allergic to “exuberance”? 🥝
In The Post’s opinion piece on the developments set to open across Aotearoa in 2026, John Coop suggests that, as a nation, we’re “allergic to exuberance.”
We want to know: Are we really allergic to showing our excitement?
Is it time to lean into a more optimistic view of the place we call home? As big projects take shape and new opportunities emerge, perhaps it’s worth asking whether a little more confidence (and enthusiasm!) could do us some good.
