Kumquats for jam / marmalade
We have a bumper crop of kumquats that need to be made into jam or marmalade. Really easy to do as they don't need to be peeled (skin is edible).
They are too bitter to eat from the tree so please don't take them as a substitute for mandarins or oranges.
Probably have enough for 100 litres of kumquats
Recipe is 1 part kumquat / 2 parts water / 2.5 parts sugar, so there's enough to make over 500 litres!
Soak for 8 hours then boil for an hour.
Private message if interested.

Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
