National Nursing Strike. We are open.
The 24 hour national nurses strike began at 7am this morning.
Please bear this in mind when choosing where to seek medical help.
The Waitemata District Health Board are encouraging people with relatively minor health concerns to avoid hospital emergency departments during the strike period in order for available staff to prioritise the care of the seriously ill.
We are open as per usual 8am-8pm, with our urgent care trained doctors ready and waiting to treat you.
For non-urgent needs, as always, you should contact your family doctor or pharmacy first or phone Healthline on 0800 611 116
Please share this with your family and friends!
Some Choice News!
Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.
Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
Thinking about planting something to invite more butterflies, bees, and birds into your garden?
Thanks for your mahi, Alan! We hope this brings a smile!
