Hi neighbours,

Aucklanders will see their rates bills soar 5 per cent to help counteract a $1 billion fall in council revenue over the next four years.

Hi neighbours,

From March 1, it will cost rural communities more to fill up their water tanks.

The cost to fill a tanker with 10,000 litres of water will rise by about $25 from $13.86 to $39 (+GST).

It reflects the cost of providing water at filling stations- a service which has been heavily subsidised for many years, Watercare says.

The new charge comes into force during the summer peak to reduce pressure on rural and coastal communities.

For those of you in rural Auckland on tank water, what is your view on the increase?

And your reasons?

Filters just been cleaned. No faults. Detachable hand vac clips onto handle to become a full vacuum cleaner. Charging base and all filters included - essentially what you would purchase retail, less the box. Charging indicator for charging status and remaining power. 40 mins power from one charge. Takes minimal space with the upright charger doubling for upright storage. Four front headlights help for hard to reach areas and cupboards so you can see what's there or in the way. These are still selling for $350 new. I've had it a couple of years but it's had minimal use 'cos I use another vacuum cleaner, and this for quick jobs, but I can vacuum a 4 bedroom house in one charge.
