Please consider donating your unwanted possessions to the Disabled Citizens Society Op Shop at 421 Dominion Rd, Mount Eden, Balmoral 1024

Instead of giving away for free on Neighbourly, please support the Disabled Community and donate good used items to their Op Shop on Dominion Rd so they can raise money for programmes for disabled citizens who are often among the most impoverished and disadvantaged people in our communities. They really need our help.

Please check directly with them if you have any questions re pick ups, opening hours, kinds of goods taken as donations etc. The phone njmber is 09-638 8153.

Provide support services for people with disabilities who receive a Work and Income Invalid Or Sickness benefit, or receive ACC funding, and are aged between 17-65 years.
Also offer a range of programmes, courses and other activities to assist individuals to build their confidence, skill and links to the community."

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
