Kohi's 10-week Open Winter Tuesday tournament wrapped. Prizes were awarded on each date, and a $700 cash prize pool was up for grabs for the top first, second and seventh places throughout the season.

Thank you to all the bowlers who delivered great turnouts each week, and big thanks to the team at PAK'NSAVE Glen Innes for supporting community sport and delivering low prices and great service every day!

Great times are ahead when our Tuesday Mixed Summer Triples starts up on 2 September and Wednesday evening Fun Bowls fires up in October. ** Hint: It's never too early to get your company end-of-year celebration booked **

Many New Zealand gardens aren’t seeing as many monarch butterflies fluttering around their swan plants and flower beds these days — the hungry Asian paper wasp has been taking its toll.

Thanks to people like Alan Baldick, who’s made it his mission to protect the monarch, his neighbours still get to enjoy these beautiful butterflies in their own backyards.
