Fashion Revolution Day

Colin Maxwell from Zero Waste Hubs

The holiday may be a bit obscure but the message is urgent: we need to change our relationship to our wardrobe.
At the Zero Waste Hub, we see so much 2nd-hand clothing in pristine condition but whose owners fell out of love with them too fast to wear them out.
As part of our mission to reduce waste in Aotearoa, the Zero Waste Hub is offering a special deal from now until May 31st: come in and create a complete outfit for just $6. A bottom, a top, and a piece of headwear for the price of a fancy cup of coffee.
The catch? You've got to model the outfit for us and let us post a pic to our socials.
It's a small price to pay for a whole new outfit.

Negotiable

Poll: Should we be giving the green light to new mining projects? 💰🌲

The Team from Neighbourly.co.nz

The Environmental Protection Authority announced this week that a proposed mine in Central Otago (near Cromwell) is about to enter its fast-track assessment process. A final decision could come within six months, and if it’s approved, construction might start as early as mid-2026.

We want to know: Should mining projects like this move ahead?

Keen to dig deeper? Mike White has the scoop.

So here’s the question: why do we get so excited when a new store opens? Convenience? Curiosity? A reason for a weekend outing? We’d love to hear your thoughts!
